Whoever plays the popular game Fortnite on his smartphone can now do so with a controller thanks to a new update.

According to developer Epic Games, Android uses 'most Bluetooth controllers', such as the Steelseries Stratus XL, Gamevice, XBox1, Razer Raiju and Moto Gamepad. Fortnite players who use iOS are advised to use MFi controllers, such as the Steelseries Nimbus and Gamevice.

Epic Games announced in November that it was working on support for controllers on smartphones. With a controller, playing is probably a lot easier than with a touchscreen: targeting is considerably easier. This is possible thanks to update 7.30 with a new weapon: the Chiller Grenade, a grenade in the shape of a head of a snowman.

Most popular game

Fortnite is undoubtedly the most popular game of the past year. According to market researcher Nielsen SuperData, the game last year generated a turnover of 2.4 billion dollars. This means that Fortnite's turnover exceeds the revenues of other free and paid games. Although Fortnite is free to play, developer Epic Games earns a lot of in-game purchases.
