"THINGS IN COMMON": THE FUNCTION OF FACEBOOK THAT WILL ALLOW TO CONNECT PEOPLE WITH LIKES IN COMMON

We know that Facebook needs users to stay in the social network and not abandon it, so it's no surprise that we see them struggling while creating new features.

This is the case of "Things in common", a function that would position comments and content from users outside our network of friends, after deducting that these people could be related to us.

"Knowing the things that are shared in common helps people connect. We are testing the addition of a label of 'things in common' that will appear on the comments of people with whom you are not friends, but with whom you can have ... something in common," the company explained through its spokesperson.

This repetitive explanation means that users would browse Facebook, and in public discussions; as threads of Pages, or publications in groups would come into action "Things in Common".

Simply highlight comments with an additional legend, where it is reported that such an unknown user went to the same university as us; or works in the same company, or was born in the same city, collects Fayer Wayer.

All this would have the objective of getting people on Facebook to connect and achieve interactions with people outside their circle of friends; but who have the potential to become someone with whom to get along well.

The function is just under test in the United States, and it is unknown when it will be released to the public.
